Every year in May, Mother’s Day reminders are everywhere you turn. For many people, this is a beautiful celebration of the strong mothers who brought us into this world and a day to honor them with flowers, brunch and love. However, for those w Spending this cozy rainy Saturday morning brushing up on OCD psychoeducation by the fireplace 📚 since I’ve noticed an uptick of intrusive thoughts with my clients. This isn’t surprising given the proliferation of anxiety and uncertainty Today I had the pleasure of meeting with the Directors of @thedormcommunity to learn about their incredible young adult treatment offerings including PHP, IOP, Groups, Residential and more. Pictured here is their adorable 2yo puppy Snoopy sunbathing When it’s winter and we feel down, it’s like the weather validates our mood. Then the temperatures slowly rise, the snow melts, we replace our down coats with floral prints. Our friends are more extroverted in making plans, but we may sti 📚🙇‍♀️🎨This week I’ve adjusted my therapy availability to participate in the @ourhousegrief Grief Intensive Workshop! My hope is to learn the latest research, practices, activities to better support my clients in their grief. Looking forw Maybe this is my inner Capricorn speaking… but I love a Monday in the office! So happy to finally be able to offer hybrid in-person sessions in addition to virtual, flexible options. Do you prefer therapy in-person or telehealth?
Your Grief Therapist is Out Of Office for the remainder of the year! Even though my email autoreply is set, I can’t help but reflect on all the incredible clients I worked with in 2025. So many hours of space held for you and your loved ones; I I’m certainly not the first person to name that the holidays can be notoriously *grieve-y*. There’s so much pressure around joy and family, and unfortunately that isn’t the reality for everyone for a variety of reasons. Originally from LA, this volunteer-led support center offers instrumental grief groups for grievers of many ages and relationships. I look forward to continuing my partnership
